NDGOP Condemns ND Dem-NPL’s Support of Violent Extremist
BISMARCK—Today, Rick Berg, Chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party (“NDGOP”) made the following statement in response to the financial support senior members of the North Dakota Democratic-NPL (“ND Dem-NPL”)’s executive committee – including from, most notably, Chairwoman Kylie Overson – have provided to a violent, left wing extremist. Thomas Alexander Starks was arrested after wielding an axe at the office of Senator John Hoeven in Fargo, drawing financial support—instead of clear condemnation—from top ND Dem-NPL officials.
“It is inexcusable that Chairwoman Overson would be personally involved in supporting a far-left extremist whose violent actions constitute an assault on our democracy. Video evidence leaves little in doubt about this attack, so it is unfathomable why ND Dem-NPL officials would lend their name and financial support to a man they refer to as ‘innocent.’ I want to thank our brave men and women of the Fargo Police Department for their diligent pursuit of justice in this matter, as well as Senator Hoeven for being an excellent public servant for all North Dakotans. We will not be intimidated by violence and extremism – even when it is explicitly and sadly endorsed by our opposition.”
NDGOP Applauds AG Stenehjem’s Support of Texas Lawsuit
BISMARCK—Today, Rick Berg, Chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party (“NDGOP”) made the following statement in response to North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem’s decision to join the Texas v. Pennsylvania lawsuit as an amicus curiae:
“I wholeheartedly support the decision to have North Dakota join 16 other states in the fight against voting irregularities in the 2020 Presidential Election. North Dakotans overwhelmingly chose another four years of President Trump’s leadership, but, unfortunately, our votes are diminished by the irregularities that occurred in other states. In North Dakota, we believe in fairness and playing by the rules and for the good of the Republic, we expect other states to do the same. This lawsuit is our opportunity to hold bad actors in the system accountable.”

NDGOP Backs RNC Legal Challenges
President Trump has the right to fully challenge any irregularities that occurred in the processing of ballots, and we support the RNC’s decision to form robust teams on the ground in critical states to help protect the integrity of this election.
