Rep. SuAnn Olson
For State Representative
I grew up on a small dairy farm with 6 siblings. All of us learned to work hard and work together to accomplish tasks. After graduating from Concordia College, I became a CPA and spent my career in public accounting and retired as a tax partner. I enjoyed helping clients with tax, business, and estate planning. My husband, Randy, and I raised our 3 children in rural Burleigh county where we also raised beef cattle and horses. My experiences include being a school board member, a director with the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Organization and the long-time treasurer of our church.
I am running to represent the interests of the citizens of District 8. I have a keen interest in protecting agriculture and small business. Honesty, integrity and diligence define who I am and I will speak and act for what is right.
Mike Berg
For State Representative
An accomplished engineer and entrepreneur, Mike Berg has a track record of giving back to his community. Today, Mike is ready to put his business and leadership experience to work in the state legislature.
As the son of a veterinarian and a published author, Mike learned the value of a hard day’s work and the importance of service to others while growing up in Hettinger. Berg earned a degree from North Dakota State University which ignited a successful engineering career. Mike would lead growing private sector teams in Minneapolis and St. Louis before returning to Bismarck with his wife, Wendy, to raise their young family.
After returning home, North Dakota’s entrepreneurial spirit called Mike to take a risk. In 2010, Mike and his partners established Apex Engineering Group. With a unique focus on practical solutions and customer service, the growing North Dakota-based firm has built a reputation as an engineering leader.
As a leader in his industry, Mike has served in roles with the American Council of Engineering Companies and American Water Works.
Berg’s commitment to serving others has led him to actively volunteer with youth sports, the Chamber of Commerce, and his church. During his free time, Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking with his dogs. Mike and Wendy live in rural Burleigh County with their two children, Eleanor and Charlie.
