NDGOP State Executive Committee Votes to Disavow Resolution 31

BISMARCK – Today, North Dakota Republican Party (“NDGOP”) Chairman Rick Berg released the following statement:

“Today, the NDGOP Executive Committee took decisive action to oppose Resolution 31 by voting to disavow its harmful and divisive language. North Dakota Republicans welcomes all those who support less government and greater freedom. As leaders of the State Party, we would like to offer a sincere apology for the inclusion of these unacceptable, hurtful sentiments as part of our official business.” – Chairman Rick Berg

The NDGOP had previously stated that it was reevaluating Resolution 31, which had previously been presented to delegates through a mail ballot in which participants were asked to vote on over fifty resolutions as a whole. No one resolution was considered individually for a vote by the delegates.
